Whenever there is a large scale event in the United States, NPLI students and alumni are involved in the response — often in leadership positions. Super storm Sandy is no exception. NPLI faculty are in touch with our network and getting ongoing reports on leadership challenges and triumphs from the front lines.
Pictured here, FEMA Deputy Administrator Richard Serino (Cohort I) briefs President Obama along with FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate and others.
NPLI faculty anticipate that much will be learned through the study of leaders involved with Sandy response and recovery in the weeks ahead. In addition to outreach to the NPLI network, plans are underway for field research trips.
