We are pleased to announce our first cohort of NPLI Global Ambassadors.

Who are they? Executive education alumni who represent the richness and diversity of the NPLI alumni network from Australia to Atlanta and Vermont to the Virgin Islands. They come from across the public, private, and non-profit sectors. They offer deep experience and expertise in disaster preparedness, response, and recovery, emergency management, public safety, public health, community resilience, and more.

The initial cohort of six Global Ambassadors includes:

Wendy Bashnan (2020), Chief Security Officer, Nielsen, https://www.linkedin.com/in/wendy-bashnan/

Marcus Coleman (2015), Director, Department of Homeland Security Center for Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships. Please note, Mr. Coleman is serving in a private capacity. https://www.linkedin.com/in/marcuscoleman1/

Meaghan Enright (2020), Executive Director, Love City Strong, https://www.linkedin.com/in/meaghanenright/

Joseph Porcelli (2022), Global Public Agency and Disaster Preparedness and Response Lead, Nextdoor, https://www.linkedin.com/in/josephporcelli/

Arezoo Risman (2021), Deputy DMI Coordinator, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention https://www.linkedin.com/in/arezoorisman/

Dr. Derrick Tin (2022), Core Faculty, Disaster Medicine, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School, https://www.linkedin.com/in/derricktin/

What will they do? The NPLI Global Ambassadors have volunteered to help spread the word about the NPLI, answer questions from prospective participants, and be a sounding board as the NPLI develops new programs and initiatives. If you have a question about attending an NPLI program, they’ll provide an unvarnished practitioner’s view.

What’s next? This is a one-year pilot program. You will hear from them throughout 2023. If all goes as planned, we will extend and expand the program for 2024 and beyond.
